1. Acceptance of Terms
Effective Date: September 7, 2026
By creating an account, downloading, accessing, or using the AttendQuick University Module ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms herein, you must not access or use the Service.
2. Accounts & Eligibility
The University Module is designed specifically for:
- University professors, instructors, department heads, and teaching assistants.
- Designated Class Representatives (CRs) officially selected or authorized by their instructors or student cohorts.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information (including your name and university affiliation) and maintain the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials.
3. Teacher Rights & Responsibilities
👨🏫 Workspace Governance
Teachers hold primary administrative authority over their university workspace. Teachers have the exclusive right to:
- Define course titles, class sections, and student rosters.
- Assign or revoke Class Representatives (CRs) using secure 6-character CR Codes.
- Configure CR permission rules (e.g. restrict attendance marking to today only, enable/disable past date edits, grant/restrict student list editing).
- Review, approve, or reject attendance correction requests submitted by CRs.
- Broadcast official announcements to students and CRs.
4. Class Representative (CR) Rules & Conduct
🎓 Fiduciary Responsibility for Attendance
Class Representatives are entrusted with recording academic attendance on behalf of professors. CRs must:
- Strictly observe the permissions granted by the teacher (e.g. today-only attendance, past date locks).
- Accurately record student presence, absence, tardiness, or excused leaves without fraud or favoritism.
- Submit formal correction requests through the built-in system when an error occurs rather than attempting unauthorized alterations.
5. CR Private Classes & Autonomy
AttendQuick grants Class Representatives full autonomy to create Private Classes:
- Private classes are intended for study circles, student labs, extracurricular clubs, or personal student tracking.
- Complete Separation: Private classes do not belong to the professor's workspace and are never shared or synced to university faculty.
- Offline & Drive Only: Private classes operate completely on the CR's device and Google Drive backup. Private classes never write to Firebase Cloud Firestore.
6. Academic Integrity & Prohibited Conduct
Users agree NOT to:
- Falsify attendance records, sell attendance marks, or collude to report absent students as present.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or intercept API calls between the application, Firebase, or Google Drive.
- Share CR login accounts or allow unauthorized third parties to mark attendance.
- Upload abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content in teacher announcements or student names.
7. Backups & Data Synchronization
AttendQuick utilizes Google Drive API (drive.file) to provide optional automated cloud backups of your encrypted local database:
- The user is responsible for ensuring sufficient storage space in their linked Google Drive account.
- AttendQuick is not liable for data loss arising from user deletion of backup files directly in their Google Drive or failure to connect to the internet.
8. Account Termination & Deletion
You may permanently terminate your account and erase all associated records at any time:
- In-App: Using the Settings → Delete Account feature.
- Web Portal: Submitting a deletion request via our public portal at attendquick.web.app/delete_account.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While AttendQuick implements multi-layer redundancy, offline caching, and SQLCipher database encryption, we do not guarantee that operation will be completely uninterrupted or error-free in cases of hardware failure, OS-level battery optimizations, or third-party cloud outages.
In no event shall AttendQuick or its developer be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from academic disputes, university administrative decisions, or loss of device access.
